Even as Pakistan extends its support to terrorism and extremism across the world, it has always excelled in playing the role of victim to bag various types of aids and grants from the western countries. Although Pakistan’s duplicity was known to the latter countries but they had chosen to ignore it in order to keep Pakistan under their grasp. And Pakistan, too, took this arrangement for granted.
Needless to say, the recent report of the Pakistani PM going through stern security check in USA came as a real shocker. Shahid Khaqan Abbasi was made to stand in a queue of commoners in JFK International Airport in New York. The reason for the same given by the American security was quick and simple – he was on a private trip to the US.
This change in policy was brought about by the Trump-led American government, which has been taking numerous decisions of late to thwart terrorism. After putting Pakistan in a watchlist of countries suspected of terror-funding, the US government has now issued new directives for the Pakistani diplomats residing in the US capital.
To be implemented from May 1, 2018, the Pakistani officials will not be allowed to venture beyond 25 miles radius without prior permission. Now this is a strict measure implemented only on the state enemies – and implementing the same on Pakistan means really humiliating to the Indian neighbor.

This news was brought in by Nusrat Javed, who is a senior journalist in Pakistan, on his show Bol Bol Pakistan. He also dwelt upon the need for Pakistan to self-assess the policies related to terrorist organisations. While his genuine concerns regarding terror-funding by Pakistan is really commendable, it cannot be denied that the world has finally begun to see the darker side of Pakistan.
