WATCH Journalist Vans Damaged As Budgam Locals Pelt Stones Avenging Death Of Terrorists

In yet another shameful incident in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam district, commoners were seen hurling stones at the Outdoor Broadcasting vans of ANI after two terrorists were gunned down by the security forces.

In the video furnished below, not only men but even women villagers can be seen hurling stones and damaging the OB van of ANI. The incident took place after an encounter broke out between the militants and the security forces on Thursday as a result of which two terrorists were slayed. According to a tweet by ANI, the encounter broke out at Budgam district’s Zagoo Arizal area.

According to Col AK Nair, Commanding Officer, 53 Rashtriya Rifles, two terrorists were killed in the encounter. In his announcement, Nair said:

“We had been tracking this group for some time, they were here probably to create unrest for upcoming Panchayat elections. We have recovered two-AK 47s & one pistol.”

It may be noted that this encounter comes a day after The encounter comes a day after bodies of two terrorists were recovered in Tral in Pulwama district following an exchange of fire between terrorists and security forces. According to reports, the two militants gunned down in Tral includes that of Usman Haider, a noted sniper who is also believed to be the nephew of JeM chief Maulana Masood Azhar.

Needless to say, the common villagers who regard the terrorists as messiahs, were perturbed by the killings. As a result of this, they simply chose to destroy the OB van, which was merely trying to report the incidents happening across Kashmir. Please watch this video to know how exactly the vans of ANI were destroyed –
