IIT Kanpur’s new Gita supersite is a slap to everyone who takes displeasure in Indian culture and ethics

The Indian Institute of Technology resonate Indian learning at its best. Hailed as one of the most competitive institutes in the entire globe, all the branches of IIT have been producing great scholars and leading engineers since years now. However, this time the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK), is in news for some other thing. And if you’re in love with our national culture and heritage, you will simply be mesmerized by it.

Recently, the IITK launched a new website which aims to enlighten everyone on our culture. Replete with invaluable knowledge on the ShashtrasVedasUpanishads, and Yoga sutras among many, this site is indeed a treasure to behold. And what is more exciting is the fact that each shloka has been translated in various Indian languages and has in-depth commentary by great scholars, which make this site more valuable.

Till now, India lacked a well-known website on Indian spiritual text, which could  be used by everyone to garner knowledge. The fact that this website can cater to a larger mass, shattering all the barriers imposed by regional languages, has made it all the more credible. This website has been the endeavor of Prof. TV Prabhakar, who engineered the entire site with the help of a credible team consisting of professors, students and many non-teaching members. You may visit the site here.

What do you think of this one-of-a-kind endeavor? Don’t you think it is a brilliant way for the youth to learn and garner more knowledge about Indian spiritual culture and heritage? Please share your views with us in the comments section below.
