Twitter User Exposes How CPI(M) Is Diverting The Farmer’s Rally

The farmer’s wing of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), the All India Kisan Sabha has launched a protest march from Nashik last Tuesday. They have been joined by numerous other unions as well. While the police sources say the total strength of the march is around 15,000, as per the unions, the march is 50,000 people strong.

Now, what are they protesting against? Well, the protestants have numerous wants: firstly, to waive of loans as well as electricity bills unconditionally; secondly, to implement the Swaminathan Commission recommendations, which further includes an announcement of minimum support price for agriculture produce; and thirdly, to have a proper pension scheme for farmers. Not just Congress but NCP, Shiv Sena and Raj Thackeray’s Maharashtra Navanirman Sena have all come out in full support of this protesting farmers.

Here’s what CPI(M) Maharashtra tweeted about the main demands of the farmers:

But it is really all? Unfortunately, no! And the truth was exposed on Twitter by a person with the username @Nations_Choice. According to this person, the Waqf Board and the Church hold the largest land bank in India. In saying so, this person also went on to suggest that CPI(M) just wants to marginalize the farmer’s issue by hailing such uncalled for issues.

Further, quite appropriately enough, he suggested that it is the plot of the Church to keep the Indian farmers poor. After all, conversions into Christianity can happen only when the people are poor.

Meanwhile, former Aviation Minister Praful Patel hinted at the march turning violent if the Maharashtra Government pays no heed to their demand.

So, what do you think about @Nations_Choice’s suggestions? Do you think he is thinking towards the right direction? Please let your opinions be heard by commenting your views in the given section below.
