While India was celebrating Janmashtami, a prominent Congress leader was busy mocking Lord Krishna

As Congress President Rahul Gandhi is away from the country for the auspicious Kailash-Mansarover yatra in a bid to prove himself a Hindu, there is one Congress leader who is hell-bent in proving the real mettle of the party. Recently, former MLA and ex-parliamentarian Neeraj Bharti took to his social media handle to denounce the image of none other than Lord Krishna, and he chose to do so on the auspicious day of Janmashtami.

Son of Lok Sabha MP and veteran Congress leader Chander Kumar and husband of former Congress Youth President Monika Bharti, Neeraj has been one of the foremost young leaders of Congress. He has served as the Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Department of Education) till 2017, after being elected from Himachal Pradesh’s Jawali Constituency in Kangra. Despite having such eminent political background and experience, with a single go, he has seemingly shattered Rahul Gandhi’s master plan of luring devout Hindus to vote for him in the upcoming Lok Sabha General Elections.

This is what Neeraj Bharti had posted on his Facebook page on Janmashtami:

As one may see, this photograph carries an equally humiliating caption, which aims to take a dig at those who are devout Hindus. While choosing to be a follower is a personal choice, humiliating the deities of any religion is essentially derogatory.

Now, before one starts criticizing Bharti of his anti-Hindu stance, it should be noted that this is not the final time that he has done something so atrocious. Just a couple of days after he had posted the above, he posted a photograph of Lord Hanuman transporting Sanjeevani to Sri Lanka, and questioned the authenticity of Ramayana.

Clearly, his anti-Hindu stance is diminishing the value of all the toil that Rahul Gandhi is adhering to in order to get his party in an acceptable position in the upcoming 2019 general elections. What do you think of Bharti’s actions? Do you think he should come out with a public apology? Please share your views with us in the comments section below.
