Woman claims sexual harassment at NDTV, claims Barkha, Prannoy Roy never responded to her complains

With the instance of erstwhile beauty queen Tanushree Dutta speaking up her ordeal of sexual harassment followed by terrific violence at the sets of ‘Horn Ok Pleasss’, numerous women are finally opening up to share their sad stories and plights. A couple of days ago, a woman accused director Vikas Bahl of sexual harassment, and literally turned the glitzy world of Bollywood upside down.

The latest person to join this list is an ex-employee of NDTV, who has claimed to have been sexually harassed by one particular man working with the same media house. Interestingly, not only herself but many of her colleagues were harassed by that particular person but the top management of the channel turned blind eye to the victims. It were the victims who were compelled to resign the organization while the culprit enjoyed his sunny days all through. The same was claimed on Twitter, where Anoo Bhuyan was crediting NDTV for making “women visibility” in journalist possible.

Former editor-in-chief of the group Barkha Dutt said she was completely unaware of the situation. However, the lady did not stop there and claimed to have sent an email to Prannoy Roy and Barkha each – in 2014 – but failed to receive any reply. She mustered a lot of courage to talk about it to the HR but they failed to provide any resolution to the same.

Now, to this, Barkha’s reply came but after three days. According to her, back in 2014, she was not in the Convergence Department. She neither had any jurisdiction to solve the issue nor have any idea now who the lady was talking about. To this, Nikita said that she had written to Barkha with a lot of hope to be heard, yet she did not get a reply.

Meanwhile, NDTV CEO Suparna Singh has promised to investigate into the matter further and give proper punishment to the culprit.
