Politics is a field where people from various walks of life can be found. It is indeed an incredible arena where people work together for the benefit of the country as a whole. Yes, it is true that there has always been politicians who were driven by their own vested interest than anything else but there are also politicians who understand their duty towards mankind as politicians.
A fine case in example is none other than Minister of State for Urban Development,Housing and Urban Poverty Alleviation Babul Supriyo. As known to all, Babul Supriyo is a famous playback singer, who is known for his melodious voice. So, recently when he was attending a political debate moderated by Rahul Kanwal, the latter insisted him to sing a song to close the program.
While such requests are not uncommon to him, he straightaway said no – not because they were not paying him for the song but because he said it was a serious political debate and he did not want to mingle politics with entertainment. Rahul Kanwal tried a lot to cajole and coax him into singing, even offering him to sing with his own daughter. But all Supriyo said was that he will not sing at any political event. He also said he is willing to sing that very evening itself for free if it is a charity event but he will not sing at any political event.
