Anandiben Patel questions Rahul Gandhi’s upbringing on his RSS ‘shorts’ remark

No matter how many Congress party leaders, media houses, or journalists try to revive Rahul Gandhi’s image, he always spoils all their efforts as soon as he opens his mouth. In yet another incident, he has said something that landed him in trouble again.

He was attacking BJP verbally, and then he even passed a sexist comment on the women in RSS. And said, “Apne RSS me Kisi Mahila ko Dekha hai? Shorts pehne Huae? – Maine to NAHI DEKHA.”

With this comment, he was trying to accuse Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) of being anti-women, as no women in RSS wear shorts. But like most of his illogical comments, this one also backfired him when former Chief Minister of Gujarat, Anandiben Patel, thrashed him on his statement.

Responding to Gandhi’s comment, Anandiben said that his statement seems to be made for cheap publicity. She also demands an apology from Congress as well as Gandhi himself for objectifying women and making such sexist comment.

She said, “ His upbringing seems to be the reason for his derogatory remarks on women’s clothes.” “Ask his mother Sonia or his sister Priyanka whether they liked this statement made by him or not,” she added.

Regarding RSS she said,”The RSS has a separate Rashtriya Sevika Samiti, a women’s wing, but Rahulji does not have enough knowledge of society. As he doesn’t have any welfare scheme for women, he chose to make derogatory remarks about women of Gujarat and India.”
